New bicycle road
I took this photo in the XIIIth district. I hope to see more and more bicycle roads like this in the city. Budapest might be like Amsterdam one day where you can see a lot of bikes replacing cars.

Not an Amsterdam yet but thank God we have more and more roads for bicycles in Budapest.
Ajtósi Dürer
This street is name after Albrecht Ajtósi Dürer (1427-1502) that was born in Hungary (in Ajtós). He was the father of the painter Albrecht Dürer.
On the photo the building is a higschool which is recently under (before?) renovation.
Szent István Park
One of my favorite place in Budapest is the Szent István Park. The photo shows only the entrance of the park and more of the Pozsonyi street but I like this whole area for the green athmosphere and for the life there.
Zebras in Budapest
1,5 years ago cows were occupading the streets of Budapest. Now you can see these zebras at several places in the city. I guess this is an awareness campaign to improve the moral aspect of the Budapest traffic. Drivers usually don’t pay enough attention to walkers on the roads.
The new Budapest
This photo represents the new Budapest hopefully. Lot of constructions everywhere (and scandals around them of course):) and more and more cyclists in the city.
Budapest Critical Mass 2009
Critical Mass Budapest is a mass demonstration aimed at bringing the public’s attention to the crisis caused by motor vehicles, e.g. traffic jams and environmental pollution. It promotes the bicycle as a healthy, fast, cheap and environmentally friendly alternative mode of transport. The organisers of this event would like to encourage the local population to use their bicycles for transportation whenever possible, and not just for recreation or sports. (www.criticalmass.hu)

March 15 – National Holiday
Hussars, horses, the national flag, kokárda, spring and windy sunshine. On the 15th of March we celebraty the anniversary of the 1848 revolution in Hungary. This photo I took last year..tomorrow I will come with new photos I hope:) See more in info about the 1848 revolution here.
