I find a bit weird that cows are in the ZOO. To me a Zoo is about exotic animals..like crocodile..but cows are everywhere as soon as you leave the city. Anyway I don’t like ZOOs so I wanna set free the cows:)
Today our guest photographer is Nora. She has attended the Élő Duna Fesztivál (Living Danube Festival) yesterday.
A new environmental project was implemented in Budapest creating a new Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project was financed mainly by the Europen Union and the festival is related to this achievement.
The Gödör Klub is still very popular in Budapest. Its right in the downtown, a perfect location for the youth to hang out. I like the atmosphere there. See our previous posts on Gödör klub:
Yesterday was the birthday of Zannnie. We celebrated it on the Sziget Festival in Óbuda which is during this week in Budapest.:)
Today our guest photographer is PhatCamper.
Budapest, Hungary – I was out with the Hungarian Cycle Chic photo commando team last night and tried my hand at panning [thnx Mariann, LaCitta & GaZe]
Yesterday we have spent almost the whole day in the fun fair of Budapest with my sister and with her cute children. You can read more about the Budapest funfair here.
Critical Mass Budapest is a mass demonstration aimed at bringing the public’s attention to the crisis caused by motor vehicles, e.g. traffic jams and environmental pollution. It promotes the bicycle as a healthy, fast, cheap and environmentally friendly alternative mode of transport. The organisers of this event would like to encourage the local population to use their bicycles for transportation whenever possible, and not just for recreation or sports. (www.criticalmass.hu)
You can see the bridge from a similar angle being full of cars here.
Hussars, horses, the national flag, kokárda, spring and windy sunshine. On the 15th of March we celebraty the anniversary of the 1848 revolution in Hungary. This photo I took last year..tomorrow I will come with new photos I hope:) See more in info about the 1848 revolution here.

I saw this at the Sziget Festival and it looked funny to me :) If only all the bins are illustrated with a touch of humour, it would probably make the streets more interesting looking. Just like how I felt about the mailbox in Singapore, perhaps it will be an attraction for Hungary to start a campaign like that. Do you have funny looking public property like this?
Wish you a fun week ahead!
