Finally it’s no longer underconstruction

Parliament - Finally no longer underconstruction

The Parliament building was under-construction for so long, it seems like many years according to the news on TV. Now that it has finally completed its reconstruction, we are hoping to make a photography session during one of the weekends in the Autumn to take some photos of this beautiful architecture which I love a lot! It’s officially fall now in Budapest. So fallen leaves on the grounds, orange-red-yellow-brown leaves on the trees. It’s one of the most beautiful season to visit if you love colours!

“I’m back home in the States after living in Budapest for a year, so I’ve been going through my archives to try to keep myself from missing the city too much.” Meagan

Zannnie’s Budapest – Parliament Building

Parliament Building of Budapest

Gothic Revival | I guess this was how it charms me … Be it from far or seeing it this near, hard to describe how much I like love this architecture. I just felt I never get enough of it. And you?

+++++ Today’s Hungarian Salad Recommendation: Uborka Saláta

Uborka is the cucumber and this salad simply consists of vinegar, white pepper, salt and fresh dill added to the sliced cucumber. Of course, and lots of sour cream!! +++++

Sunrise at the Parliament Building

Budapest

I took this photo last week early morning at the Budapest parliament building. It was supercold but I wanted to catch the sun on the building so I was waiting for the right moment to run out to the street:)

Parliament’s Silhoutte . Winter . Budapest

Budapest

Foggy. And today, my favourite architecture in Budapest looked exactly like this on the photo. Part of living in this city is seeing this beautiful Budapest Parliament in different perspective each time I cross the Margit Hid via tram 4 or tram 6. See how the sun rays are fighting to break through this cold winter of 1 deg C :)

The end of the season

Budapest

Weak sunshine, almost empy restaurants at the Danube Bank. This is obviously the end of the season.

In a co-operation with the www.hungarystartshere.com site, starting from today, there will be a new Budapest Quiz. Maybe some of you still remember that last year, Meg (Nelson Daily Photo) and Jazzy (Tuzla Daily Photo) had both won a box of Szamos Marcipán each. This year, we (Zannnie and Zsolt) will offer to the winner a bottle of Tokaji Wine and the www.hungarystartshere.com portal offers one of their Hungary guide books in English.

See more details here.

The question of the third week is available here:

3. For how long was the Parliament Building built?

A, it is still under construction

B, for 11 years (1885-1896)

C, for 19 years (1885-1904)

We post new questions every week. It means for 7 days, we post the same question then we publish the next one. Such way you have a week to find us and to find the right answer:) If you answered this question already, you need not send it again!
