There are still quite a lot of Graffiti in Budapest. Most of them looked rather ugly and totally like vandalism. This colourful one is in the downtown of Budapest. Any takers wanna guess where it is?

Answers to be revealed tomorrow. Do you need any hints for this?;)

Today our guest photographer is one of my students, Gabi.

The VIIth district of Budapest. Kazinczy street, right beside the club/pub called Szimpla Kert. It seems the district is a paradise of this kind of „artworks”

Gate

Budapest

A typical gate in the downtown. Actually this is on the Szent István krt. When I recognised this gate somehow I got impressed. So many things in a little corner. Things that can describe a city in a way. The old gate reports about the history, the graffiti tags are about the modern city life. Advertisements (for example about a private apartment for tourists in this building called riverside). Talking details…

Bud Spencer

Bud Spencer

In my childhood Bud Spencer movies were very popular. I also loved them though nowdays I find them a bit annoying:) But they were innocent products of an innocent age:) I have found this graffiti on the wall of a bufet in Budapest.

fco_109

Before I posted about the great works of FCOcdm. His first graffiti I found on a kindergarten’s wall in Budapest and since that time I am fan of his projects!

graffititrainjobb

He/she has a dream. We dont know what is it…he/she didnt share it with us. The Hungarian text of the graffiti is like “one more thing, and pls dont steal my…….(and the last word is nosense to me).” Deep secrets..
Anyway…I have a dream, too. One day having nice clean trains only in Budapest.

At some places graffiti is legal in the city. They encourage artists to create graffiti on walls of old abandoned factories. Some says this is not a graffiti anymore because a real graffiti has to be illegal. I dont know too much about this, but I like this kind of “professional” works better then pure tags everywhere in Budapest.
Hard to catch these long wall with a single camera so I created a video time ago about it. You can see it here. And other graffiti here.
