Wine store at the corner of Vértanúk tere and Vécsey street in Budapest. Bortársaság was founded under the name of Budapest Wine Society in 1993 by Attila Tálos and Tom Howells for selling wines of the very best hungarian wineries and for organizing tastings and other events like this. (source)

Basically I do not like fishsoup. But every Christmas we eat a littlebit as it is an old tradition in Hungary.

Onion Head eating the Hungarian Langos

I shall title this post: Onion Head eating the Hungarian Langos. Langos is a traditional Hungarian snack, a must try and I recommend it for the Winter as it is pretty heavy. This particular Hungarian snack is not healthy, but it is certainly yummy with the original toppings such as tejfol (sour cream), cheese and sprinkle some garlic juice :)

I do not care that it is very touristy..every year I eat one sausage like this with mustard and bread at the Vörösmarty tér.:)

Smelled the wonderful aroma of the fresh bread ‘lángos’ that is baked in traditional “Töki” clay oven or these sinful looking but very delicious skewed meat. Keep your body warm by sipping hot Mulled Wine served in special ‘Budapest designed’ mug which you can take home. That just summarizes the Christmas festivity mood here in Budapest, but you really must experience the mood of it!

In Hungarian we call it “pörkölt”. Very light fitness food:) There are different types of pörkölts you can read some recipe here.

Goulash soup

This goulash is rather expensive, but in the downtown it is usually this price. A good goulash can be found in most Hungarian restaurants and it is one of the most filling kind of soup, so be sure you do not order too much of other dishes if you are not a big eater :)
