Again some thing. I have no idea how do they call them in English but these figures are little iron fences in the downtown to prevent cars to park everywhere.

Kálvin tér was named after John Calvin who was a French Protestant Reformer. John is János in Hungarian. That makes his name Kálvin János :) You can get to the Hungarian National Museum easily by getting to Kálvin tér station on the M3 Budapest Metro. This is also a major square and intersection where Múzeum körút (‘Museum boulevard’), Vámház körút, Üllői út (‘Üllő street’), Baross utca (‘Baross street’), and Kecskeméti utca (‘Kecskemét street’) converge.

Our neighborhood looks like this since last week. And I guess it will remain like this for long.:)

The disadvantage of living in the downtown is the never ending noise. This morning we got a shock listening to these construction workers.

aaaaaaaaaa…this is the crain that is responsible for the terrible noise we had experienced for days in our street.:)

The original deadline for finishing the Margaret Bridge reconstruction was 2010. August. It’s obvious that they won’t finish it within 1 month.

In 2008 December I have posted this photo about the construction work beside the ELTE University building in Budapest. Now you can see the improvements. Almost ready. I guess this will be also part of the campus.

They build a new airport terminal in Ferihegy. I think there is a sort of competition between the Budapest Airport and the Vienna-Bratislava airport for the leading position in the area.
