Matthias Church - Budapest

Matthias Church (Hungarian: Mátyás-templom) is a church located in Budapest, Hungary, at the heart of Buda’s Castle District. According to church tradition, it was originally built in 1015. The current building was constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century and was extensively restored in the late 19th century. It was the second largest church in medieval Buda.

This church was established in 1777 by Batthyány József. You can find it in the VIIIth district of Budapest which is called Józsefváros (Joseph town).

I like to get close to the details. This church is located somewhere in the XIIIth district of Budapest. Nothing special. But if you get closer you can recognise little details you usualy never see.:)
