Pálinka & Sausage Festival

Hurka, kolbász

At Buda Castle from 3rd til 5th October, 2014, is the Pálinka és Kolbász Festivál in the Oroszlános and Hunyadi Courts in the Royal Palace. Here you can taste famous Hungarian fruit brandies or Palinka, and eat sausages and other typical Hungarian food specialties, all at one spot! Caribbean rum will be the 2014 Festival highlight.

  • Daily ticket: 2 000 HUF, includes tasting ticket in 500 HUF, a tasting glass and free entry to the Budapest History Museum located in the building of the Royal Palace.
  • Passes: 4-day pass: 5 500 HUF (includes a tasting glass and unlimited free entry to the History Museum)
    Passes are valid for multiple entries. Visitors will receive the wristband, the glass and the PayPass card upon first entrance.

To get there, take bus 16A or 116 from Széll Kálmán tér (trams 4, 6, M2 metro) or the funicular (Budavári Sikló) from Clark Ádám tér (Buda end of the Chain Bridge) or the take the steps leading up to the hill from Clark Ádám Square.
