Jégbüfé

Jeg bufe

Jég Büfe is a very strange place in my opinion. It is sort of reserved as a heritage, even received awards but this place represents me the true gray ’60s of Hungary. I regularly buy there cakes or cookies and all the time I am surprised how they can manage their business with that all fashioned system. Costumers can’t buy or order their cakes at the bar directly first they have to go to the cashier and pay in advance. The problem is that majority of the costumers are tourists who do not know the Hungarian name of the cakes that are in the bar’s window. And the shop assistants usually do not speak English. Such way every order is a real adventure..
