(photo: Joseph Burns)
For the last day of the year we feature Joseph’s photo! Thank you for sharing this great capture with us and we wish a very Happy New Year to all the visitors of the Budapest Daily Photo blog.
And Joseph….I think this is a real dish but I have never tried it:) Anyone…Hungarians?:)
On the Nagymező street or better known as the “broadway of Budapest“, we found this statue sitting on a bench. He is Imre Kálmán facing the house of his beloved Operetta Theater. It was believed that the bronze laptop was placed next to him by anonymous contemporary artist.
We are experiencing very cold days and nights in Budapest. People are rushing home the streets are almost empty. They say we will have very cold new year eve. We will see:)
Not really at the Parliament building.:) On the photo it is not visible but between the cars and the Parliament is a beautiful something. The Danube river:)
One of the more interesting places where I like very much. You can see on this photo the newly restored roof tiles design on the Matthias Church. Next to it is the Hilton Hotel. The architect, Schulek, has made a restoration that provides visitors with one of the most prominent and characteristic features of Budapest’s cityscape.
This morning I took a photo of our Christmas Tree.
Merry Christmas to all the visitors of the Budapest Daily Photo!
This photo does not do justice to the quality of the pasta or pizza at this restaurant. Usually we frequent the Da Lello at MOM Park. Since a few months ago, they have a new branch at WestEnd and we tried it finally and went back twice. To me and Zsolt, this is one of the better pizzeria or Trattoria for this price range.
