On the wall of the House of Terror, you can see little photos like this. Portraits of the victims that got executed by the communist regime after the revolution in 1956.

  1. I remember visiting this place when last time I was in Budapest. It was the only place my Grandmother would not go to. She lived in Budapest in Kispest when the revolution was taking place and said that it brought back too many bad memories for her. One of her brothers died trying to protect his freedom and that of Hungary.

    She has said many times that the revolution was the scariest thing she ever had to deal with, even worse than the Second World War.
