Arriba taqueria
This post is a tribute to Mexico because yesterday they showed a great football against France:) The Arriba Taqueria is a Mexican place in Budapest at the Oktogon. Choose your tortilla!:)

Church of Hungarian Saints
The church of Hungarian Saints is in the XIth district of Budapest. Quite a new church it was built in 1995-
Garden of the Museum
The garden of the National Museum is a place with special mood. It reminds me always of Ferenc Molnár’s novel The Paul street boys.
Andrássy street palaces
This building is recently a bank. It used to be one of the palaces on the Andrássy street in the VIth district of Budapest.
Pumping
It seems the flood is over in Budapest. The city has managed it quite well, now the roads along the Danube are open again. I took this photo on Saturday when they pumped water in front of the Technical University in Buda.
The life during the championship
Yesterday night we have spent like this the evening. Match, beer, fresh, opened air and a goalkeeper named Green for whom I already feel pity.
Preparing for England-USA
Tonight we will be watching the England-USA football (and not soccer!!) match from these chairs. At the western railway station, they set up this place with large screens just like everywhere in the city. Since 1986, Hungary didn’t get the opportunity to play in the world championship so for this time I go for England!:)

Sandbags
Sandbags on the Margaret Island. Budapest is managin quite well the flood this year. The worse situation is in the North-Eastern part of the country where entire settles are cut from the world and people are losing their houses.

Budapest flood at night
This romantic picture I have received from my friend Marcsi. They took it at the Elisabeth bridge. As you can see the Danube is still flooding.
New airport terminal in Ferihegy
They build a new airport terminal in Ferihegy. I think there is a sort of competition between the Budapest Airport and the Vienna-Bratislava airport for the leading position in the area.
