Looking at this makes me glad I was unable to come to Hungary this year. I would have been here during the flooding and living in Buda for the month is not easy when your taking public transit. If I am not mistaken, bags of sand were placed on Margaret Island and along the Danube. I heard reports of Batthany Ter Metro Station being shut because of the flooding. All I can say is, hopefully next year will be better :)
It’s no too bad at all, thankfully Budapest was so well prepared for a flooding like this. My prayers go out for the people who lost their homes across the country.
I agree with Marcsi. Budapest seems to manage the flood very well. People living in the north-eastern part of Hungary are suffering a lot. Families are losing their houses!
