A winter job

Budapest - winter

I have planned my own description before but I decided to post the comment I’ve got on Flickr to this photo:

“I agree with what I think is going on here!! Dig for a while and then take a break and take a couple of photographs!!! then go back to digging and eventually you will get into the house and have either a glass of brandy or a cup of tea!!! All the best to you for a happy and healthy 2010!!!”

Bin day

Budapest Winter

Wendesday is the bin-day in our street. We have to leave the recycle bin outside on the street and in the morning usually around 9-10 am they will come with a truck and they collect it. At times I forget about it and when I hear the noise of the truck I run like a crazy:)

Cute corner

Budapest

Its not the first time that I post a photo about this little street. I don’t know why but I like this little corner of the city. It’s very close to the Margit krt. but has a mood like a little town in the countryside.

Péter’s Budapest

PPeter: A Kálvin tér következik...

Our guest photographer is Péter Polcz today. He took this great photo in the tunnel of the future Metro No 4.  I have no idea when they will finish the construction works there but the photo is really impressive.:)

The roofs of the bath

Budapest - Szechenyi Thermal Bath

The roofs of the Széchenyi Bath. The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath in Budapest is the largest medicinal bath in Europe. Its water is supplied by two thermal springs, their temperature is 74°F/23°C and 77°F/25°C, respectively.

Theme day: Changes

Liberty bridge - Budapest

The first theme day of the year is about changes. In 2009 in Budapest the most relevant change was to me that finally we got back the Freedom (or Liberty) bridge reconstructed.
