I would like to point out to all who look at this photo that the rope separates the public and non – public parts of the building. I was in the non – public part when I took this photo.

Leif they are free for citizens of the EU and there is a fee for non-EU citizens. They do the tours in German,Hungarian, English and I believe French. The tour I went on was a private tour provided to us by a parliamentary page who also happens to be a friend of the family. The tours provided by tour guides are alot less detailed and focus mainly on the major points about the building. For example, when I went on my tour I was allowed in the private washrooms for use by the government officials only while the tour group lead by one of the actual tour guides was not able to do that. As the saying goes its not about what you know but about who you know.
