New office building

Budapest

This is a new office building in the XIIIth district at the corner of Váci road and Dózsa György street. I mentioned before that it seems that some parts of the XIIIth district is becoming an office area.

  1. I have a question for you Zsolt and/or Zannie. How do you find out about the things you take photographs of? You seem to know where everything is in Budapest.

  2. Richard…it is very simple. We take photos everywhere in the city when we are out to do our everyday businesses. Some photos (like this one) are taken with mobile phone because we can’t take all the time the good camera. This photo I took when I had a meeting in the XIIIth district and while I was walking I decided to capture the building. In a way the blog is tracking us geographically:) Its not about Budapest but its about “how we are and where we are” in Budapest.

This method has disadvantages, too. Spite of the fact that we have been running this blog for 3 years you can’t find hardly photos of Csepel, Soroksár, Rákospalota, Pesterzsébet, Újpest. Why? Because we never go there, we do not have anything to do there.

At times, when we have some free time we make so called photo-tours. We grab our Canon camera and we explore a certain part of the city. This is the way we made the Rózsadomb series, or the reports on the Critical Mass or Wine Festival or any other events. These photos are usually with better qualities and about areas that are out of our everyday route. Maybe one day we will get to all the undiscovered parts of Budapest like this:)

  3. Next time I am in Budapest on vacation. I would be more than happy to visit csepel and ujpest. I think I have pictures of Pestszenterszebet or pestszentlorinc if you want them.
