Lock of Love

Lock of love - Budapest

These locks are on the Erzsébet square (Vth district of Budapest). Each lock represents a couple. The idea was initiated by a dating portal called randivonal.hu.

  1. What a funny idea! Does it mean that once you’re “locked”into a relationship, you just throw the keys away?

  2. i was in pécs in august. they got a similar “project”. it was stunning to see hundreds or even thousands of locks :)

  3. :) Actually, Randivonal may have done some traveling as I’ve seen the same thing (locks on a gate) for many years in Rome by the Fontagna di Trevi. A romantic notion in any case.
