I like streets with special mood. Gül Baba was an Ottoman dervish and poet living in the middle ages when Buda has been occuppied by the Ottomans for 150 years. The street named after him is a little narrow street leading up to the hill. There is nothing special, no stores, museums or anything like that just a little street with special mood.:)

I like this street. It has a special beauty that makes it very appealing. I love finding the little known corners within big cities that make you say ahhhh.
When I go to Budapest these are the sorts of things I look for. I would rather spend my time walking down smaller residential streets and get a feel for the culture than walking down major streets such as Vaci Ut. The thing I love most is how diverse Budapest in the area of Pestszentlorinc for example. My Great-Aunt Piri lives in the XVIII (18th) district and she is surrounded by older homes with a great deal of land and not many people as opposed to district 1 where you are surrounded by buildings. Places like that found in district 18 really bring out the culture in places like Budapest and I like that. Its hard to find these days.
