This is not a village. Its still Budapest. Rare to see this special mood of old times with a chestnut tree nowdays. This place in Hűvösvölgy is under reconstruction so soon this atmosphere will be disappearing, too.

Lovely pic. Pity about modernisation spoling so many memories.
Unfortunately, in real life in the daytime it doesn’t look so good – in fact it’s a real mess right now! And before it was very run down. Hopefully they will make it look nice again soon and then the buses can be on time again!! :0)
There is Skanzen just outside of Szentendre if anyone wants to see bits and pieces of historical villages. I am not sure if you are familiar with it Patricia, Zannie or Zsolt.
Richard…of course we know the skanzen. Its a cute place:)
Patricia…as I heard they want to build car park here. So the result of the reconstruction won’t be pretty at all.
Zsolt, I’m sorry to hear that it will be a car park – I was hoping for the shops to be renovated and for it to be a nice, local shopping area. Richard – I’ve been to Szentendre, but we haven’t visited the Skanzen yet – we have 2 teenage boys and, short of tying them up in the boot of the car, it’s hard to get them to go to places like that nowadays!
Sometimes progress stinks, but thats just the way it is.
