What you see on this photo is a grocery store called Rothschild élelmiszer áruház in Budapest. There are varieties of products, from diabetic, glutenfree, to bio-products, and Hungary’s most important wine-cellars’ wine. Last but not least, the kosher goods! They also extend free house delivery for orders above 10.000 HUF within Budapest area.

Yes, Richard, you’re right :)

is this one of the regular place you get your groceries?
Zannnie said,
No Keropokman, We usually go to Auchan (Pronounced: Óh-shon) together which is a French international retail group for an overall weekly/bi-weekly grocery shopping. Some groceries other than food, like mineral water is heavy so it is more convenient to shop together in half dozen and transport by car…

This looks like a good place to get a wide variety of groceries.

photowannabe, i’m just amazed they also have kosher food/groceries, that’s quite rare…and it provides the convenience for people who must conform to the diet of the Jewish religion.

Zannie – take us INSIDE the grocery store for a look around! I love the KFC twilight photo today. TGIF – enjoy the weekend. Regards from EAGAN daily photo

Hi leif hagen,
Taking photos INSIDE may not be nice as they might think I’m a competitor (btw, I’ve read about another photoblogger who out of curiosity take the inside photo of a grocery store here in Hungary but was stopped cos they thought she’s a competitor spying on the prices.)
if you wanna see their products, within the post, you can see the hyperlinked on the words ‘ élelmiszer áruház’ leads you to their online store with the full range of products….
Thank you once again for your kind comments about the Twilight KFC post!

Zannie, did you say Auchan? Wow that is out of the way, if remember correctly, Auchan is at the end of the 18 tram route, in Solymar. Its almost outside Budapest.

I love the front design. I say this in a lot of my comments, but it seems every takes some really great pictures of buildings.
Zannnie said,
this moment has the inside well-lit up and with the bicycle parked there, it seems like a ‘classic’ to me :)
