Golden detailings everywhere. That’s the Basilica built in honour of Saint Stephen I of Hungary, the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), whose incorruptible right hand is housed in the reliquary. You can access the dome by elevators or the 364-stairs for a 360° view overlooking Budapest.
Magnificent! It’s like a sparkling jewelry box! Is it near the parliament building?
well, Leif Hagen, they are both on the Pest side, but one is nearer to the Margit (Margaret) Bridge the other is nearer to the Lanchid (Chain Bridge). Both are places that you should not miss if you are here in Budapest :)

Hi Zannie, thanks for visiting my Leeds Photo Daily. The Budapest daily photo was I think the first CDP blog I ever visisited back last december. I juts have not visited in the last few weeks.
Beautiful building, so much history.
Gold everywhere, and light everywhere.
A beautiful ‘golden’ cathedral!
Is this the Mátyás-templom in Budapest, District I in Szentharomsag square near Fishermans Bastion?
