Panoramic view

Budapest

The endless flat (half) city: Pest. It was taken from the Gellért Hill. From the other side looking at Buda you would see hills everywhere.

  1. My anti-spam word for this post is dramatic. That’s what this shot is…dramatic. Great lighting and the panorama shot makes me want to visit there.

  2. This I remember so well about Budapest. I stayed up in the hills (must have been a ways above Buda) my first night — on a dirt road! (This was 1986.) Then I moved down and stayed on the Pest side for a week, not too far from the river. (In those days you were given an official room; being a poor student, I stayed with an old widow.) Got up every morning and went back over to Buda. But I think Pest must have grown since then!
