Again an early morning shot. Traffic jam and some golden moments from the rising sun.
Baron József Eötvös de Vásárosnamény (September 13, 1813 – February 2, 1871), Hungarian writer and statesman, the son of Baron Ignacz Eötvös and the baroness Lilian, was born at Buda. After an excellent education he entered the civil service as a vice-notary, and was early introduced to political life by his father. He also spent many years in western Europe, assimilating the new ideas both literary and political, and making the acquaintance of the leaders of the Romantic school.

Every year they organize an event called the Night of the baths. On that day all the baths and spas (we have a lot) are open during the night too. This photo was taken at the Széchenyi bath.
Again a typical facade from the downtown of Budapest. Its obvious that it needs renovation but even like this is very impressive!

In a co-operation with the www.hungarystartshere.com site, starting from today, there will be a new Budapest Quiz. Maybe some of you still remember that last year, Meg (Nelson Daily Photo) and Jazzy (Tuzla Daily Photo) had both won a box of Szamos Marcipán each. This year, we (Zannnie and Zsolt) will offer to the winner a bottle of Tokaji Wine and the www.hungarystartshere.com portal offers one of their Hungary guide books in English.
See more details here.
