One of the disadvantages of Budapest is, that dog owners tends to forget to pick up the dog poop. This trash with the plastic bags I found in the IXth district. Rare to see them in the city.

On the photo the ruins of an old house is visible in the VIth district. I guess soon a new building will stand there.

Megasztár

On Saturday, we had the opportunity to watch the Megasztár Show, live in the studio. This is something like the Pop Idol in the US. Its already the 4th season and in a small country like Hungary, its an exaggeration to use the word MEGASTAR for a singer but the participants are really very talented. My favourite is this little Vietnamese girl, Hien, who was born in Hungary and she has wonderful voice.

Day of the Dead

The 2nd of November is Day of the Dead in Hungary. This is a christian event (Commemoratio omnium Fidelium Defunctorum in Latin) when we remember our relatives, friends that are not anymore among us. I dedicate this post to my lovely grandma and to my grandpa.
On the photo you can see the Kerepesi Cemetery. On this day all the cemeteries are beautiful. People light thousend of candles. You can read more about the Kerepese Cemetery here.
