Ex-Ballet Institute

Budapest

The building of the ex-Hungarian Ballet Institue on the Andrássy street. Originally it used to be the Dreschler Palace designed by Ödön Lechner and Gyula Ártos and built between 1883-1886. Before the World War II it was a large Café House and from the 50′s it became the Hungarian Ballet Institute. A few years ago they have sold the building and they say a new luxury hotel will be here….maybe….

  1. It’s a magnificent-looking building! I think it would make a grand hotel. But whatever its use will be in the future, I hope they maintain it well — and remove those metal rails!

My guess for this week’s question is A, Lipót.
