Similar to some buildings and stone walls in the City of Manila. Most are from WWII when the Japanese invaded the city.
I like this building though, and I think that the rough spots just add character and texture to it.
Even though this is distructive i do like the interesting textures, not what happened.
I remember seeing this kind of thing in “Lenningrad” in 1983 when my family visited there. Its something one never forgets because of the violence that is so graphically portrayed.

Nice shot. Unfortunately there are too many such buildings showing the scars of war. Not far from you, down the Danube, you can visit Belgrade and Vukovar, Croatia, both of which have many war torn buildings. I wish one day we would be able to enjoy a peaceful world!!
