I mean:
It’s called Ministry of Local Governement .. today, but tomorrow, who knows?
Couple of months ago I had some official business at this Ministry. To be honest I liked the building very much, but you are right about the atmosphere. I totally agree with you. It's military zone, so I didn’t have enough brave to take some photos inside. :( Btw the view from the conference room is also beautiful.

és egyszer mjd megpróbálok elsőre elütések nélkül kommentet írni

It is a foreboding, brooding building. The light is dark, too - nice touch!

Cool photo, Zsolt, even if the folks inside are not all that warm and fuzzy. In the States a minister or ministry commonly has a religious reference. It wasn't until I got interested in Canadian culture that I heard the terms used for representatives of government. In the States we have, say, the Secretary of Agriculture rather than the Minister of Agriculture, etc. Of course governments all over the world use these terms for their offices and officers, but it was foreign usage to me until the late 70s. Don't we wish the attitude of all governments was that of service to the people rather than the attitude you mention the civil servents in this building to have.
