The Gödör Klub is one of the most popular place in the downtown of Budapest. Especially among the youth. The photo was taken around 1 pm, during the evening all those chairs and stairs are taken. Years ago the National Theater supposed to be here, but I do not mind that in the middle of the downtown instead of a theater you can find a very active entertainment center.

Gah!!! You’re doing it again Zsolt, making me deeply homesick for Budapest. I’ve been away since February. I used to live right near Gödör and it is a fantastic place even for old farts like me. They always have the best live music. I read recently that the city tried to stop them from selling alcohol after 8 p.m. due to noise complaints. I never once had a problem with noise from the club, living about 50 meters away, so I find that hard to believe. The skateboarders in the park there though… that’s a different story!
I love the Gödör Klub. There are always some pretty good bands playing there.
