St. László

Szent László

Saint Ladislaus I (c. 1040 – 29 July 1095), King of Hungary (1077-1095) and of Croatia (1091-1095). Ladislaus is one of the most respected kings of Hungary. Following a long period of civil wars, he strengthened the royal power in his kingdom by introducing severe legislation. After his canonisation, Ladislaus became the model of the chivalrous king in Hungary.

Hi Zsolt! Sorry for having taken so long to get back here again. Another hectic week…
Ladislaus is an impressive chaarcter and the picture is great!
That retired home for teachers doesn’t look so bad… ;)
The Opera is a wonderful building (loved to see it in 2006). The public clock is a wonderful shot also!
Meanwhile Blogtrotter, still in Santiago de Compostela, now inside the Cathedral, is waiting for you! Hope you enjoy, and have a nice weekend!

Thank you for all the historical information. I have to admit your history is something I know little about. I guess that’s what makes blogging so much fun. I learn new things all the time.

Does anybody happen to know or have a picture of what the Laszlo Family Crest looks like?

  4. Zsolt says:

Josh…St. László was king of Hungary between 1077 and 1095. At this time they still didnt use Family Crests only flags and their own “stamps” and coin-stamps.
