I guess you know about the controversy the statue of Mattias Corvinus has created in Cluj over the years. I think it’s being refurbished now, judging from a recent picture on Lara’s Welt blog. Hopefully they’ll get rid of the so-called “archeological works” in front of it at the same time!
My favourite Hungarian king ! I love the stories of him touring the country dressed as a poor student.
