Again a new month…and a new theme day in the City Daily Photo Blog community. I post a photo of the market of Fény utca for this theme day. This old market has changed a lot since the mall Mammut is there. I remember what the Széna square looked like and the old market behind. Nowdays the market is still working and at least partly reminds me of those old atmosphere.

The interesting thing (for me) that marks it out at somewhere foreign – apart from the writing the probably says something like “Mr Jones, best fruit and veg in town” – is how little green vegetables there are. Great shot, too

The colors and atmosphere are sucking me right into a shopping mood! I think we all keep pictures in our minds of old settings and how they have changed to the current one. When the people and shopkeepers remain the same through physical changes of the market, then it is easier to like the changes. But when it becomes impersonal, it takes one of the joys going marketing affords.
