Couple of weeks ago I have already posted a similar photo of this church. But this picture I find much better and I decided to post it, too. Cranes are very common in Budapest lately, constructings and reconstructing and at times they look strange among the old buildings.
Platán is a pub in Buda at the Elizabeth Bridge. It’s name is not Platán at all. Officially it is called Erzsébet Híd Söröző (Elizabeth Bridge pub) but everybody calls it Platán (platanus, plane tree). Whatever its name is the pub is quite popular among the youth of Budapest especially during the spring/summer season.

This is the last pic of my Elizabeth bridge series. Its even more noble with these clouds. On the Flickr some said the black lamp is disturbing…others said its more interesting with it. What do you think?

Getting off is a photo exhibition of bikers at the Kodály Körönd in Budapest. As they write on their website:
“The photos of this exhibition give evidence that for us, Hungarians the bicycle is not simply a means of transport. Rather, it is a secret doorway that lets us get out of everyday routine, escape from traffic&noise, escape from the city. It takes us to a place where time slows down, and we can sit down any time to have a think or a drink, or both. In the meantime we might want to explain to our helpless E.T. that this machine is suitable for changing – not only attitude but place as well.”

Breathtaking photos: little snail
The theme for may is NUMBERS in the dailyphoto family. I forgot to registrate to the participant-list but anyway..I take part. I know that the instructions were about Arabic numbers, but I like Roman ones:) They look very noble and ancient. Especially on clocks.
