The principle aim of the House of Terror Museum is to document two bloody eras in Hungarian history, the Hungarian Nazi (Arrow Cross) and the 1950′s totalitarian Communist regimes. The building itself is the block that once was the headquarters of the Arrow Cross Party (Nyilaskeresztes Párt) and later of the infamous State Security Police (Államvédelmi Hatóság).

I’m glad there is a museum to commemorate the atrocities of the past. One should never forget what happened.
