The yellow snake

Siemens Combino

Tramways are yellow on Budapest (unless Coca-Cola buys the opportunity for their commercials on them). And this long yellow snake is the Siemens Combino which you could see already on Budapest Daily Photo before.

It wont be long now – Budapest version

Mammut

Yesterday I saw a similar bridge on Annie’s LittleRock Daily Photo (you know the place which is famous of Bill Clinton and Annie):) Her post reminded me a bit of this place in Budapest. The bridges between the two malls. And just like she …I am looking for the spring very much, too:)

Is the EU really grey?

ESZA

I was hesitating if its worth to post this picture or not. The reason I have posted it finally is because this picture represents me very well the “mood” and “image” of the European Union. Well, this floor belongs to one of the organizations which is in charge to organize and manage the European Union funds. You have superhightech visitor card for entry, for the elevator even for the stairhouse you need it, but no one think about putting at least a picture to the wall.

Why is that governmental offices are usually looking so weird? Whitout any fantasy, any design…and any sense of beauty.:) Is it like this in your city, too?

Tunnel

chainbridge 1731

There is a roundabout in front of this tunnel. When I just started to drive I was always nervous getting here by car because I found this cross very difficult. Cars coming from the bridge, from the tunnel, and from two other directions…it was too much to me. Nowdays I drive here often again without any anxiety. If you want I give you a ride there:)

Who said that the winter-sun is weak?:) Even during these grey days it can create amazing colors with long shadows.

Natioanl Dance Theatre

Várszínház

This is the building of the National Dance Theatre. For those who understand Hungarian the title on the facade might be confusing since its Castle Theatre written there. Since 2001 the National Dance Theatre is working in this building and I guess they just didnt want to ruin the nice facade.

New questions on Daily Photo Poll:

I have launched a poll on Daily Photo community. Together with the previous 6 questions now 4 more questions are displayed in the sidebar. My intention is to make a short research on this great community, so I will be very thankful if you take some time answering them (to get the next question just refresh the site!). The questions are mostly relevant to both visitors and DP members alike, but of course answering them is totally voluntary. If you dont see the Daily Photo related questions anymore, just the so called “content polls” of VIZU it means you already answered all the 10 questions.:)

Barb left me a comment that she couldn’t see the poll displayed on my site. Maybe some browsers do not support it, so for any case I listed all the 10 questions in the FORUM, you also can answer them there!

Its not the best photo, but please try to concentrate to the building and not to the limitation of my mobile phone and my shaking hand:) I had some business in the office of the Menedek Association (they provide help for migrants in Hungary) and I just got attracted by the building where they rent their office.

Is the spring saying hello?

Budapest

The spring is not here yet…but today the sun showed up giving a kind of message….just like saying: “I am coming soon guys”:) These stairs are leading to the western side of the hill where the Buda Castle is located.

D.András’s Budapest

Suny Night from Margit bridge

For this week our guest photographer is d.andras. It is really worth to check out his photos, some of them are fantastic. Just like this one…about Budapest. I have no idea how he managed to get these lights and clouds at the same time but the result is breathtaking.:)
