closer

Óbuda

At times you have to get very close. To see the details, to feel the fragnances and to be lost in the athmosphere. If you check my post from before yesterday, you can find this little element on that photo. We are still in Óbuda, having an excursion around its Main square (Fő tér).

Here’s how to ‘Be our Guest Photographer‘:

On the Flickr, we have opened a group called Budapest Award Group where everyone can add his/her Budapest photos and thus everyone is free to the awarding of the ‘Budapest Award’ to any photos in the group. Hence, every week the most popular photo will be invited to be featured on the Budapest DP.

museum

Óbuda

Trotter asked me yesterday if the house on my post was a museum. It was not a museum, actually the building is used by the local government. But this one…the building I show you today…is a museum being very close to the house you could see yesterday. The Museum of Óbuda.

Óbuda

Óbuda

Óbuda means ” old Buda”. Looking at the picture maybe you have some ideas why do they call this part of the city like this. And it seems in November the weather is not always as gray and foggy as I showed few days ago. It was a perfect, sunny saturday yesterday. Cold but sunny. Hopefully our sunday will be the same!

Theme Day: Something blue

French Institute

For this theme day I have chosen the building of the French Institute. Actually its not always blue…but in July when they celebrated their 60th anniversary the whole building was shining in this great blue color. The French Institute is a great cultural center they always bring a little French athmosphere to Budapest:) Behind the building you can find a French restaurant. I never visited yet because I am still not ready for snails:)

Visit other DP sites…to see something blue all around the world:
