I have got this comment on the Flickr to this photo. To me the Fő tér in Óbuda brings the athmosphere of the books of Gyula Krúdy. The late XIXth Century with carriages and with ladies with umbrellas:)
There is a wonderful light and sharpness in the picture. I like the quiet atmosphere that can almost be smelled.
Nice photo which does invoke a nostalgic feel … There is a bench in your photo as well. I have found that when I run across a bench it is in my best interest as a photographer to sit for a moment and look to see if the bench was placed at that spot because of a great view. Also, sitting for a moment slows the pace and insures the moment is enjoyed.
That’s a wonderful image of the carriages and ladies with unbrellas. The cobblestone street adds to the image. Good coloring and textures.
Yes, I like this picture too. I don’t think it evokes a nostalgic feeling for me, but it does look like a nice place to stop and sit for awhile.
I like the way the trees look against the building…very nice.
