the hard life of the magician

the second job of the magician - a bűvész másodállásban

It seems the circus pays very badly so the magician had to seach for a second job. He got hired by the city government of Budapest where they are lack of human resource at road recontsructions or at the new metro’s construction. :) do you believe or not?:)

Public Art Event on the Chain Bridge

6

photo from: www.index.hu

This weekend I got a cold so I couldnt attend personally at this event but I wanted to report about it very much:) So for today I use a photo I got from an internet portal called index.

The event was on saturday, related to a conference. The people on the bridge are volunteers, everyone got a green umbrella which made a great contrast to the river. More photos and info you can see here.

Cow Parade

Cowparade

Cows appeared again on the streets of Budapest. Last september I posted this photo about the Cow Parade 2006. For this year this cow is one of my favorite. It symbolizes the new Siemens Combino tramways.:)

More photos about the exhibited cows you can see here.

When the shadows become long

BEST of budapestdailyphoto.com

The best in the Indian summer (which we call the summer of the old ladies) is that lights and colors become special. Shadows are longer but still not too late (I took this photo a bit before 5 pm) and the weather is just perfect to sit outside. I have read on Meg’s Nelson site that spring is definitelly arrived there…from here I can report…autumn is knocking on the door:)

Metro

Moszkva téri metró

The design of the M2 (Metro line No.2) has changed in the last two years. This photo I took at the Moscow square subway station. I really like the new design hopefully the next step will be to change the old trains:)

KalmanZita’s Budapest

Hotel Marriott, Budapest

Our guest for this week is Kalman Zita.

I just love this photo. Zita’s comment to it:

This glass zigzag belongs to Hotel Marriott in Budapest, Hungary, which is located in Duna korzó.
The riverside Duna korzó or Danube Promenade lies between Lánchíd (Chain Bridge) and Erzsébet híd (Elizabeth Bridge) and above Belgrád rakpart. The promenade has the best views of Várhegy (Castle Hill) across the river Danube.

Actually this photo is from the national day but I have forgotten to post it around 20th of August. Yesterday I didnt want to post it because of the Sept 11…so maybe today is a proper day for it.

Pelikán gátőr jelenti

Danube is high in Budapest

The Danube is very high nowdays. I guess we are going to have some floods. If you look at the picture carefully you can see that the water almost reaches the car. It was fun to drive there.

This is just a short shoot I took from my car, you can see more beautiful photos taken by H:Balázs here.

International Wine Festival

For the Zannnie fans who are missing her posts.:) Nowdays she is very busy with her new job but I am sure very soon you will read her post again.:)

Pasaréti street

Pasaréti út

This church is near to our place. A quiet weekend morning, almost no cars and even the bus is “sleeping” waiting for its next turn. Actually this is one of the first photo which I took with my new lens.:)
