In April I reported on the Critical Mass movement in Budapest. Yesterday they had a great event again! Marching with thousands of bicycles, expressing the wish we want to make this city more livable!!
Hi Zsolt, we were in town yesterday and saw the cyclists – I remembered reading about something similar earlier in the year but couldn’t remember exactly what it was about. I’m glad you posted this. Also, on Friday night we were downtown with out-of-town visitors and saw lots of young people running – racing!- through the streets. At certains points there were other people with red and white armbands, guiding the runners I guess. Do you know what this was about? Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Patricia
Hi Zsolt, a bit absent lately. Sorry!
It’s a nice target to turn cities more liveable. But, perhaps because I don’t live there, I feel Budapest is quite liveable…
Thanks for your visits and comments to Blogtrotter.

Hi Patricia,
I wasnt there, but maybe they were participants of the Marathons (or Mini-Marathons) which they organise nowdays. I really dont know.
This is a fun picture! And a great cause!
people still resist or what? lets all act more.
I don’t mind the crital mass demonstrations but when they have gotten violent andcompletely impede progress in our area I think they defeat the purpose. Glad it was such a good event in your part of the world.
