Today we would like to introduce to you our new website. The Budapest Guide by Zannnie and Zsolt.
Travelling all around the world, I have received lots of help from the respective local people. In 1993, a very nice Holland couple from the Netherlands provided me and my friend accommodation and a lot of assistance in getting around. It was because we didn’t managed to find our Hungarian friends due to an error in the phone number. In 1998, when I was in Switzerland, Michael from Bern helped us to explore that wonderful country. Thanks to Max and his girlfriend for I could see Frankfurt (Germany) much more than just as a simple tourist. In 2005 I was in Indonesia, and without the help of Pody, Cory, Bedu and Peti, I wouldn’t see so many wonderful places in that beautiful country, and last year in China, Jing helped me a lot to explore Shanghai. (you know her from Shanghai Daily Photo):)
So I always had the feeling that one day I will have to give back all the help and support I have got in different countries from the local people. With this inspiration, we created our personal Budapest Guide for you all, dear future visitors of Budapest! As we wrote in the introduction for DP members, it is a must to contact us if you are visiting Budapest, but anyone else is welcome if you have questions or if you need any information, relating to any help which we can assist to your Budapest trip.
The website is a beta version. A starting point where comments, recommendations, ideas are totally welcome. Especially, it would be helpful to know what else you would find helpful on a site like this, (such as which other info you wish we would include for you should you are planning to visit BUDAPEST). We have been working on this site for long..and we just hope you are going to enjoy it!:)

Zannnie and Zsolt,
Today I tired many times to visit your new site from my work place (but please don’t say to my bosses :) ), and your page was loading very slowly from there, so I recognized just now the details. Well, saying the truth, your Budapest tourist guide is wonderful, and I guess the makers of the most official tourist sites would have to learn from you :)
I’m looking forward to seeing your fallowing posts and like mostly your enthusiasms. Please keep it up!
Ps. I’ve added your links to my sites.
That looks impressive! How much money would I need to enjoy a weekend in Budapest – see the sights and soak in the culture? :)

Hi Joy..the costs of course depend on your needs…for a low budget version I guess you can prepare at least 500 USD if you can be economic (travel costs to Budapest not included).
Accomodation (hostel or apartment) for two persons for three nights: 150 USD
Dinner in nice restaurants (three times): 100 USD (if you have luck breakfast is included to the accomodation price, for lunch you can buy something in stores or at cheaper places)
Museums, entrance tickets, sightseeing tours, public transportation:150 USD
Little presents to the family: 50 USD
Total: 500 USD
