“Typical breakfast”- not just the food you eat personally, but it could be in a restaurant or grocery store, the “occasion” of breakfast (the people eating it, an interesting location where people eat breakfast) – ie think creatively about it.
It was good that this Theme day is about the breakfast of your city and since I am here in Budapest, I learnt about the Hungarian’s Typical breakfast. First you see a glass of milk with some pastries. The rounded ones are called ”Csiga” (pronounced as ‘chi-ga’) which means SNAIL :) The only difference is the flavour and Zsolt always prefers the one on the right which is chocolate flavour.
Next which looked like a horseshoe, is called ”mákos patkó”. Inside are filled with poppy seeds (called ‘mák’ in Hungarian). Here in Hungary, poppy seeds are not forbidden
unlike some countries, it is used widely in several Hungarian cakes and dishes:)
