This photo is the symbol of Budapest to me, in a way. It’s in the VIIIth district, in Józsefváros, the Mikszáth Kálmán Square. As you can see on this photo, the renovated buildings are standing beside the old gray houses, depicting this city is in the process to get a new face. And this image Mikszáth Square shows me lately is hopefully the future of Budapest. A live-able city with cute corners, with outside cafés and narrow streets around. I wouldn’t say that Budapest is like this already…but I hope this is the way…
Szeretem a Mikszáth teret. Ügyes kis sarok a nyolcadik kerület zegzugaiban és valahogy a mostani Budapestet szimbolizálja nekem. Itt vannak még a szürke bérházak, a kibombázott foghíjtelkek, de már jópár épületet felújítottak, szép az utcakő és kis kávézók vannak mindenfelé, olyan kiülősek. Remélem erre megyünk.
