Chainbridge volume 2

chainbridge 1801

I have been running this site for more then 9 months and I never posted any close ups about the chain bridge if I remember well. It was intentional, I think the chainbridge is the most characteristic, most touristic feature of Budapest right in the middle of the downtown. The 0 kilometerstone is at the head of the bridge on the Buda side.

But now maybe here is the time to show you this nice old bridge which is really beautiful.

  1. Spam word is gorgeous. That’s exactly what this picture is. The bridge is lovely and the hot at night turned out very good.

still a superb photograph of this bridge the night. cheer

  4. When I lived in BP and people would come visit, I would tell them “You have not seen Budapest until you’ve walked across the chain bridge at night!” It is known as the center of BP for a reason!

  5. I believe I had heard about a Chain Bridge but never saw its picture before this. Thanks for posting it.

I got to fly last night. I mean I just dove in and flew. You can find out how on my blog post today.

  6. Beautiful Chain Bridge….
when I was living in Denmark, I saw a wide East River view of New York City featuring the Brooklyn Bridge the at some Danes house. He maintained he had purchased the photo thinking it was Budapest and that the Brooklyn Bridge was this Chain Bridge. I can’t see the resemblance but both look great at night.
