Erzsébet híd

Erzsébet híd

Like a month ago Zannnie posted a photo of the Erzsébet bridge (Erzsébet híd). Now I’m showing the same bridge from an other perspective. I like this bridge. Simple but still noble, modern but still fits the romantic characteristic of Budapest:)

Snow

snowvasarnap 007

Though I am back, I still miss the snowing days:) They are so white! In my hands, I was trying to grab it:) And I was glad even for a short two days that it had snowed before I go. I felt lucky to see it despite it was late. And I really like the feeling of snow flakes falling on my hair :p

Family house

Family house

This is Budapest, too. The city is not only about those traditional large houses built in the XIXth Century. If you cross the river from Pest to Buda and you leave the area of the Moscow square up to the hills you will find villas and large family houses like this on the photo. And no..the photo was not taken in March…but yesterday..I gave up waiting for the winter and I will be really pissed off if the snow are to arrive in March!:)

Miss Budapest

DSC08736

It’s back to be more humid in Singapore but somehow or rather, I still miss Budapest very much:| When it is dry, my skin is less smooth, but that trades in for ‘no sneezing’ every morning. Here in Budapest, it was like a ‘rehabilitation’ for me;) You can’t believe it as I could even forget to bring tissue papers with me for the first two days back in Singapore!

Iceskating

Iceskating

Though there is no winter this year but the place for iceskating is working. During the summer its usually a lake for boats in the city park. I took a video too if you are curious of more details. To be honest I never tried iceskating and I am afraid it would be just a funny show for the public to see the foolish guy rather laying then standing if I would try:)

FEBRUARY’S THEME DAY – What really annoys you in your city

31012007960

Ownership of a car may not be a form of REAL convenience when living in a city which lacks parking space. To be honest, it is rather annoying. And like an irony, not enough parking lots in the city would mean ”less” convenience despite owning a car. Cos you need to walk a further distance which provides a parking ‘opportunity’ and to walk back again to pick up the car:

Finding ONE parking lot

could sometimes exasperate Zsolt.

Driving in the area several rounds,

can really make him frown.

This is what annoys Zsolt in Budapest :p 50 Daily Photo sites are participating in the 1st February theme, “What really annoys you in your city”, please use the links to below to visit them.

Due to time zone differences and other factors, the theme photo may not be displayed until later if you are viewing early in the day.
