Pest

In Budapest, city authorities are not allowed to build high buildings. In such a way, churches and towers of historical buildings in the downtown areas give the silhouette of the city. I have read an article a few weeks ago that Budapest doesnt really have an obvious silhouette which can be used like a logo (Just like Manhattan in New York or the Pudong area in Shanghai).

But to be honest, the building of the parliament or these gentle roofs of churches are like logos of my city to me.

What a beautiful skyline. The patina on the spires make them so lovely. Your city is beautiful.

I agree with others. The skyline is in this way so beautiful and peaceful, not aggressive at all.
Have a nice Sunday in your beautiful city, where I have been only three days and remember
best the river and bridges, the huge church, where we were listening a wonderful concert and where was very good acoustic. This was about twenty years ago, you did not have been born yet :)

I agree with you; it’s special. And the colors do play a big part. (Gosh, that bridge is shiny, though!)
