The Chain Bridge in Budapest taken from the palace of Buda. It was also known as Széchenyi Chain Bridge as Count Széchenyi István initiated its construction in 1839 inviting the British engineers William Tierny Clark (designer) and Adam Clark (supervisor of construction). The bridge was opened in 1849 as the first bridge of Budapest.
Time ago a created a clip for YOUTUBE where you can see the Chain Bridge from different perspectives.

Finally the snow arrived and Zannnie could enjoy it. It didn’t last for long. After a heavy snowing period, the sun shines once again making all the white disappearing. This photo was taken by me on sunday morning. A typical Hungarian village’s sunday. Nobody on the streets and trucks do not remove snow in a village.

What do you think these poles are for? The first who finds out the right answer will get a nice postcard from Budapest:)
I took this photo in November. Today was the same sunny but more cold..the winter is still playing with us:)

A pair of leather clogs – this is the promotional ‘tool’ that Van Gogh’s exhibition was promoted with. http://www.szepmuveszeti.hu/web/guest/aktualitasok in this exhibition, I get to see and ‘feel’ Van Gogh’s life story through his paintings. His style in paintings with a ’strong articulation and very directed’.
I took this photo in a mall in Budapest called ‘MOM Park’, very strange name isn’t it? cos as you can see, it is not even like a ‘PARK’! I wonder why it is called MOM Park;) strange.8)
Anyway, I like the curiosity and joy that was brought to this little Hungarian boy while he was ‘playing’ and enjoying his ‘little moment’;) sweet…

Pigeons has been part of city lifes for centuries. Bohumil Hrabal mentioned them often in his books. He was a friend of them.
During the weekend when we were in Rome i had luck avoiding pigeon’s “presents” once..but second time they “presented” me on my shoulders with a splat.
More Rome photos here.

Well, today I’m going to break the rules…;) I’m sorry but you know something, I can’t resist the temptation to post a photo of Rome. Last week, Zsolt ‘reported’ about the stormy weather we encountered before our flight to Italy. It was more frightening to hear the winds howling with window panes hitting endlessly against the frames in the wee morning like 1am. Then a heavy downpour before and on our way to the airport terminal (ferihegy).
However upon reaching Rome, it was a really wonderful weather with sunshine and cool temperature like 12 deg C. This photo was taken at night in Rome – the Trevi Fountain. And to be honest, it looked more majestic and more beautiful in real.
p.s Zsolt has uploaded more photos in his ycrazymind blog, so if you are interested to see please feel free to click here;)

For the Christmas we got two tickets from my sister to the Museum of Final Arts in Budapest to the Van Gogh exhibiton.
My favortie style is impressionism when it comes to painting and when I was younger Van Gogh was definitelly the No. 1. Later I turned toward Monet but Van Gogh still cast a very deep impression on me:) And now his works are visible in Budapest.
