at the Duna

Day of András in Hungary. Its from the Latin Andreas…he was the brother of St. Peter..the first disciple of Jezus. Happy name-day to every Andrew!:)
at the Duna  When it comes to colder weather, you can see lesser people on the streets in Budapest. This promenade along the river is normally full of opened restaurants and tourists can be seen walking up and down, but nowadays it is totally empty. The city prepares itself to the long sleep and waits for the next spring when the first sunny days will invite people to the streets again…..

The proverb for today is:Even the white lily can have a black shadow.Pls feel free to share with me a proverb from your country today too:)

  1. la ballade doit etre tres belle, les jours de beau temps. j’aime bien la perspective de ta photo.

the ballade must be very beautiful, the days of good weather. I like the prospect for your photograph.

  2. that is a nice promenade Zsolt. Kris i can see photo normally.

here something similar to your proverb:

‘man to man is a wolf’

  3. St Andrew is Scotland’s patron saint, so I knew today was his day. You reminded me to say happy saint’s day to my friend Andras in Romania though, I was too stupid to make the connection myself!

  4. Yes, it is deserted, much like many other places during the winter–until the snow arrives, I think, to make the weather tolerable. I just got up and am too sleepy for a proverb, but I’ll be back with one!!

  5. Nice composition of a wintery looking day.
quote might be some people are wolves in sheep”s clothing. or maybe , a person speaks out of both sides of their mouth.
