Day of Stefánia in Hungary. Its a Latin name means: floral tribute

It was luck to catch this Gypsy event in the Vajdahunyad vára in Budapest. They arrived with that large “limo” and with a lot of other cars and they fullfilled the yard of the castle immediately. It didn’t seem to be like a wedding (I haven’t seen any bride then) but the way they got together and started to sing was impressive. See the event on video here.
I have collected the proverbs you gave me here. Thank you so much!! I hope to have a large collection in time to come..so pls feel free to share with me the proverbs of your country.

A wedding–for real? Do they object to the word, “gypsy?” I had a musician visit my classroom once who explained that they prefer to be called “Roma.” but I’m not sure if that’s worldwide.
These are gypsies? Looks like a scene from the godfather.
Nice car alarm background beat. Odd that the women were in the back. Where was this near Varosliget Park?
Looks like extras on a movie set…
Like isabella, I thought it was a film set!
Olivier, you read my mind!
I was going to say that the big guy up front looked like the “Godfather”!
How do you know that they are gypsies? Can you tell us more about gypsies?
The Godfather came to mind with me too. Nice video.
Proverb, The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
We have a very similar Bulgarian proverb.
That’s why girls time the introduction of boyfriends to their mothers very carefully… ;) cheers!
thank you for your comments.:) Maybe they really looked like being in a movie…in the Godfather…but they are not. It was a real event with gypsys.

Fascinating video clip. It must be about the man in the white suit, I think. Great capture.
