Day of Cecília in Hungary. This name comes from the Latin Caecilius (belongs to the tribe Cecilius)

If you look at this photo carefully it may be familiar to you in a way. This is the Boráros square. A memorial for the “bor árus” (wine sellers). Actually i like the mood of this sculpture. The tired big man waiting for the next costumer…or is it a woman? The sculpture was made by Imre Varga in 1983.
En regardant cette sculpture, j’ais pense à une sculpture de bottero.
Si j’avais a parier, je dirais que c’est un homme. tres belle sculpture.
By looking at this sculpture, I board think of a sculpture of bottero. If I had has to bet, I would say that it is a man. very beautiful sculpture
its a quirky design, like it too..I think its a woman..hmmmm
great sculpture as well as the taurus at the back.
i was thinking the same is it a man or a woman? my vote goes to woman =)
Yes, it is great sculpture. Lots of character.
From your photo and the light, I actually see him as standing proud of his merchandise.
I can also see a sculpture from a previous post behind.
Cheers!
ooo…wine..
:)
sometimes i like it. but cant drink now….
and i think he is waiting for the beautiful …charming lady….:P
…jing
I think it is a woman. Look at the sagging breasts! But then again, fat men have them too!
So unusual to see a statue that is not fit and perfect!
And, for me the fact that the statue is realistic, not fit or perfect, is what makes it appealing.
So, now we know who is Attila’s wife!
Hehe Alice..you think she was like this?:)
I love how there are barrels surrounding him/her/it. Good shot!
I like the atmosphere, too. It’s kind of a ‘soft’ mood, as opposed to heroes on horses and lions and bears and all the rest.
Impressive sculpture & very good picture.
